Can's Can Mission Statement
Can's Can purpose is clear, fill the needs of all those around us. We accomplish this is many different ways - we make monitary donations to many national organizations such as St. Jude Childrens Hospital and The Alzheimers Association, we feel that it is through these organizations that many diseases and pains of the world will be solved.
We also make monitary donations to individuals in the community, we have given gift cards to cover the cost of groceries, paid utility bills, even purchased things such as tires. Our funding comes from a variety of sources-
1. Our namesake cans. Every week we have collection points from several individuals that we pick up cans from. We take them to the local recycling center to cash them in, an average week will run about $30.
2. Rummage Sales - Our most recent yard at Immanuel Baptist Church netted around $540, so as you can see this is a big fund raiser for us.
We collect items from anyone in the community who wishes to give, out last sale included all items from a washer and dryer to a clock radio.
